Dr Sarah Naylor is looking forward to starting at Bribie Island Medical Centre late November 2017, after recently moving to the Island with her husband Phil and their 2 greyhounds.
Sarah is a UK born and trained GP. She studied medicine at Dundee University in Scotland, graduating in 2007. She became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2013. She has trained and worked in the North West of England since 2009.
Sarah was drawn to General Practice because she enjoys the diagnostic challenge of seeing a condition at its first presentation but also being involved in the continuing care of a patient, not only as an individual but as part of a family and community. She also believes strongly in the importance of health promotion and disease prevention.
Sarah enjoys and has experience in all areas of General Practice but has particular interest in Women’s Health. She has a Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, can fit and remove IUDs, Mirenas and Contraceptive Implants, and has undertaken additional training through the British Menopause Society in Menopause management. She also has a Diploma recognised by the RCGP in management of Asthma and COPD.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys crafts and makes Wedding cakes for friends and family. Being born in Wigan she is a big fan of Rugby League and looks forward to attending some Footy games. Sarah and Phil are very much looking forward to living and working as part of the Bribie Island Community.
