What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist?
Exercise physiologists are 4-year university qualified allied health professionals who specialise in
the delivery of exercise, lifestyle and behavioural modification programs for the prevention and
management of acute/chronic diseases and injuries. EP’s provide physical activity and behavioural change support for clients with conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, depression, cancer, arthritis, COPD and many more. EP’s provide a holistic approach to the management and rehabilitation of acute/chronic musculoskeletal injuries.
Exercise Physiology services available at Bribie Island Medical Centre:
• Eligible Veterans’ services (D904 referral)
• Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Plan GP referrals
• WorkCover (or other compensatory schemes) injury rehabilitation
• Acute/chronic disease management (heart disease, type I & II diabetes, osteoarthritis, COPD,
cancer and many more)
• Acute/chronic injury rehabilitation/management

Initial Consultation (30-45 min) – $90 ($75 conc.)
1 hour Consultation – $90 ($75 conc.)
45 min/Long Consultation – $80 ($70 conc.)
30 min/Standard/Review Consultation – $65 ($60 conc.)
