Louise Mitchell (Psychologist)

Louise is a registered Psychologist and member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi).  She greatly values working with people across the lifespan – from children to adults – to help improve health, wellbeing, and functioning experiences from a mental health perspective.

Louise has an extensive professional background in both community-based mental health settings (including family mental health and school-based outreach services) and private practice.  Her therapeutic practices encompass humanistic, non-judgmental, person-centred and trauma-informed care, in an open and approachable manner.  She incorporates elements of cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, filial play therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy in her individualised interventions.

Louise is a trained facilitator of the Emotionally Intelligent Parenting program Tuning in to Teens™ and the Children of Parents with a Mental Illness (COPMI) Koping Kidz program.  She has also completed Applied Skills in Perinatal Mental Health Assessment and Care training through the national Centre of Perinatal Excellence, and intensive experiential professional development in Trauma Informed Care and Practice – An Indigenous approach to developing worker skills.

We do not have the coverage for emergencies or to provide crisis support, and are unable to respond urgently to telephone calls or emails.

Peter Fairgray (Men’s Health Pharmacist)

Peter Fairgray is an award-winning prescribing pharmacist and nationally recognised leader in men’s health, with more than 30 years’ experience in community pharmacy. He is the founder of BlokesHealth and Queensland’s leading pharmacist provider of specialised men’s health services, working in collaboration with MensHealth Downunder to improve access to practical, evidence-based care for men across Queensland and northern New South Wales.

Peter provides comprehensive support for men experiencing erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer recovery concerns, penile rehabilitation, urinary continence issues, Peyronie’s disease, and general sexual health concerns. Services include vacuum erection device (VED) training, intracavernosal injection education and titration, penile rehabilitation programs, continence support including clamps and cuffs, and traction therapy guidance for Peyronie’s disease. Consultations are designed to provide practical solutions, education, and ongoing support in a professional and approachable environment.

Peter was one of the first pharmacists in Australia to qualify as a prescribing pharmacist through James Cook University and continues to assist in training pharmacists in extended and full scope practice. He was recognised as the 2025 PSA Queensland Pharmacist of the Year and 2023 TerryWhite Chemmart Pharmacist of the Year for his innovative work advancing pharmacist-led patient care.

The new Bribie Island BlokesHealth clinic provides local access to specialised men’s health support without the need for a direct referral. Patients are welcome to self-book appointments or may be referred by their GP, urologist, prostate cancer nurse, or other healthcare professional.
