Dr Thomas Sumnall graduated from the University of East Anglia, England, in 2013. He subsequently worked in New Zealand as an Advanced Urgent Care Trainee before completing his General Practice training in the United Kingdom. Im now proudly working in Queensland on Bribie Island. This broad experience has equipped him with strong skills in managing both acute and chronic health conditions. He is proud to care for you and your family.
Dr Sohail Yousuf
Dr Sohail Yousuf has joined the team here at Bribie Island Medical Centre. He is a highly experienced General Practitioner delivering comprehensive medical care, and has over 21 years of experience since coming to Australia in 2003.
Dr Yousuf is available in clinic Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. He is taking on new patients.
Having completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Dr. Yousuf has cultivated extensive expertise as a Medical Practitioner. He has developed special interests in Rehabilitation Medicine and Chronic Pain, reflecting his dedication to improving patient outcomes and enhancing quality of life. His clinical acumen and commitment to patient-centred care make him a valued member of the healthcare community.
Dr Wasiulla Mohamed
Dr Wasiulla Mohamed has joined Bribie Island Medical Centre, June 2025. Dr Wasi has a multitude of experience in health care, including in UK and Australia, having worked across a number of different departments. This has provided Dr Wasi with a diverse perspective on health care needs.
Dr Wasi Mohamed has a special interest in Men's health, geriatric medicine, chronic disease management, mental health and family medicine. We are excited for Dr Wasi Mohamed to be part of our team to service the community on Bribie Island.

Dr Bhavana Kulkarni
Dr Bhavana Kulkarni
Bhavana is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She is an experienced Doctor who enjoys all aspects of patient care within General Practice. Bhavana has a special interest in Women’s Health, Skin Cancer Care and its ongoing management including minor surgical procedures and Chronic Disease Management.
She has vast experience working in both Public and Private Hospitals and Primary Health Care in Australia and overseas. She has completed the training for her Diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and offers Implanon insertions and Mirena/IUS insertions.
She is a registered antenatal shared care provider and hold a certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Surgery.
Bhavana continues to be involved in the training of GP Registrars and Medical Students.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and friends.
Dr Mike Esmailzadeh
Dr Mike Esmailzadeh has joined the team at Bribie Island Medical Centre February 2023.
Dr Mike will be available Mondays to Thursdays.

Dr Mike, who graduated in 1996, has many years’ experience in General Practice as well as teaching, He has commenced his practice in Australia in 2019.
Dr Mike is a driven GP who enjoys all aspect of General practice and has an appreciation for the complexities of Chronic Conditions Management such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular disease, Chronic Kidney Disease, Asthma and COPD as well as Mental Health.

Dr Lee Grayson
Dr Grayson has closed his books at this time to new patients.
Dr Lee Grayson joined Bribie Island Medical Centre in April 2021. He graduated from Medical School at Griffith University, Gold Coast in 2013 and has since worked as a GP in many Rural and Semi-Rural Practices.
He enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a keen interest in Men’s Heath, Dermatology, and management of Chronic diseases such as Diabetes.
Dr Grayson is available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
